Covid PCR Test for Travel

If you are planning on travelling abroad or attending a large event, you will likely require a Covid-19 PCR swab test in advance to show evidence of a negative test. Please visit this Government UK website to verify what tests are required for your specific destination.

Please note due to new Government requests, results for Covid-19 Fit to Fly PCR tests are taking longer to report. All results will be back within 36 hours so please allow sufficient time when booking your test.

The Surrey Park Clinic offers the Covid-19 Fit to Fly test and results service which will give you the evidence required for travel. You can book online or call to arrange your appointment and please bring your passport to the appointment. Ideally please avoid having any food or drink 30 minutes prior to your swab. Please also note this is NOT a Day 2 test for returning travellers, we are unable to offer this test – please click here to find a Day 2 provider.

The swab test is self-administered but you will be guided by a nurse. The Covid- 19 results will be forwarded to you by way of a ‘certificate of testing’ with a full explanation of the results. The clinicians at The Surrey Park Clinic will contact you directly if you test positive.

Children aged 10 years + can also take this test. Please note:

  • All patients under the age of 16 must attend the clinic with their parent or guardian
  • Patients aged between 10 – 11 years old must have their parent or guardian administering the test
  • Patients over the age of 12 years can perform the test on themselves

Please note this service is only for OUTBOUND travel and you must not attend our clinic if you have Covid-19 symptoms. If you do have symptoms, you can arrange a free NHS Covid-19 PCR test by following this link.
