Mr Kalu is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a Specialist in Reproductive Gynaecology and minimal access surgery at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Mr Kalu underwent postgraduate training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North Thames London Deanery where he worked at the Whittington Hospital and University College Hospital London. He undertook further Subspecialty training in Reproductive Gynaecology (IVF) and Minimal Access Surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital London and The Lister Fertility Clinic Chelsea. In 2008, he was accredited as a Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery.

With an active interest in medical education, Mr Kalu is an Examiner at St George’s, University of London School of Medicine and was the Postgraduate College Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Kingston. He is the HFEA Licence Holder in the Assisted Conception Unit at Kingston Hospital where he is a senior IVF clinician. Mr Kalu has an active research interest in Assisted Conception, Endometriosis-related subfertility, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Reproductive Immunology; all areas in which he is published.
